From the A5000 onwards each Acorn computer had within it a chip which looked like a three legged transistor. This chip supplies the computer with a unique number which can be interrogated by software.
A number of software packages have used the chip for software protection, among them, Digital Symphony. Whih is the reason I put together this program, so that I could use my A5000 software on my new shiny RiscPC.
Load UniqueID and either save out your current ID or soft load your old computers ID file.
I've also included a command line version for inclusion in a !Run file.
Oh, and it is possible to also soft load the ID into A300 & 400 computers.
